How Our Systems Work
- ZipGrow Systems use two types of hydroponics: a drip system and a wick system. The journey begins in the bottom of the ZipGarden cabinet that houses the unit's reservoir & pump
- Water is then pumped to the top of the unit and trickles down each towers via a drip emitters.
- Each tower comes with a wicking strip, which allows the plant's roots to absorb water. Each tower also comes with a piece of Matrix Media, our replacement for soil. This airy material allows roots to thrive even without traditional soil.
- Water then collects in the drip tray at the bottom of the towers. This is also where the germination kit sits, allowing your seedlings to germinate while your larger plants grow.
- Water recollects in the reservoir, and repeats the whole process again.
